Judicial Appointments and Confirmation

On March 24, 2010 the Congress were approving of Gianna's justices that she appointed. Her first set of justices was George Rhodes(Senator),Diana Gomez, and Rebeca Santiago(to be Chief Justice.) The first person to go up was George Rhodes, He was the first person to go up & to be questioned by The Senate. He present sort of a weak case & therefore he did not make the Judicial Branch. The vote was zero yes and five nays. Next, was Diana Gomez she however presented a really good case. She got all the senators to say yes. So she was elected to be a new justice. After Diana, was Rebeca Santiago she was to be the Chief Justice for the judicial branch. Congress questioned her quite quickly and she replied very intelligent answers like a true leader. So when Congress questioned her it was 3 yes & 2 no. So Rebeca is now our Chief Justice and new supreme court justice. Remember, how George Rhodes got declined as a new Supreme court Justice, since he was declined Gianna has to pick a new justice. She ended up picking Juan Lara, in my opinion seemed like a really fair guy. I thought he would make a good judicial branch, but apparently congress didn't agree. The vote 2 yes and 3 no, so he's not a new supreme court justice. So, after all this Gianna another person to be a supreme court justice, she happens to choose Sam Zickar who was the Senate majority leader. I thought it was a good choice, although because of this they had to appoint a new majority leader. They first picked a new senate Danny Powers (the former presidential candidate) & then they voted for a new leader as well, the person they chose to be the Senate majority leader was Danny. Score 1 for him. So Danny questioned Sam, and Sam answered true judicial answers to the questions. So after this Diana Gomez, & Sam Zickar are the regular supreme court justice,& Rebeca Santiago as a justice and Chief Justice as well.

Hammondia now has a president!!!

A month ago(February 23,2010) there was an election held for the role of being president of Hammondia. The election was between two candidates Daniel(aka Danny)Powers from the Mutton Head party, and Gianna Knuston from The Affirmatives party. After long hard weeks and months of campaigning The Affirmatives' candidate ,Gianna Knuston, pulls through to win quite a couple of the states' votes. A few weeks ago President Knuston gave her acceptance speech for the role of being president of Hammondia and she thanked GM & Exxon Mobil PAC for funding her with money. Now she's finally in office and she quickly appointed her president advisors. Her president advisors are Victoria Webster, her Chief of Staff, and Jack Vroom, her Communications Director. With her president advisors and herself, she started her pick for the supreme court justices. Her first set of choices were George Rhodes, Diana Gomez, and Rebeca Santiago for Chief of Staff. The Election Votes Are In

During the following weeks there has a presidential election between two candidates for the leadership role in Hammondonia. The two candidates were Gianna Knuston from The Affirmatives & Daniel Powers from the Mutton Heads. On Tuesday February 23,2010 the election for the candidates were held. The citizens of Hammondonia could have chose Gianna or Danny to take the electors from that state. The polls were open at 8:30 and were to close at 3:15. During that night the votes were counted even though there was a few absentees from a couple of states it was clear who had won the election. It was Gianna Knuston who won the election; which made sense because she seemed to have people be rooting for her plus in our own mini-polling she had a good percentage of votes. She won every state except for period 4 which at least half voted for Danny Powers. Even if counting the absentees Gianna still would have won Hammondonia. On Thursday March 4, 2010 Gianna gladly made her acceptance speech & gladly announced how the Exxon Mobil PAC was always there to help donate money to her. So after all this Gianna Knuston is the Hammondonia president. Thank you and stayed tune for more things she'll do during her presidency.
